Trautz Properties, Inc. was formed in 2010 by John Trautz, a 37-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry. The company invests in single tenant and multi-tenant retail properties in the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area. Through affiliate companies, Trautz has developed around the United States in markets such as southwest Florida, Denver, CO and Albuquerque, NM for a variety of credit and non-credit retailers.

John Trautz
John began his real estate career in 1985 leasing office space in Downtown Minneapolis. His first development opportunity came in 1993 – a Blockbuster Video store in Coon Rapids, MN. Subsequently, as a partner in Reliance Development Company, John was also involved in many single tenant and multi-tenant developments around the country. His real estate portfolio includes a variety of single and multi-tenant retail properties throughout the Twin City metro area and several apartment properties in St. Paul, MN.
John has a B.S. and MBA from the University of Minnesota. He is a member of the Minnesota Shopping Center Association and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Ministry interests focus on local organizations that assist people in pursuing a better life through better housing, career assistance and life skills training. Currently, John is a board member of Amplify Mission Network, a local ministry providing business consulting services to emerging, faith-based organizations.
Believing that balance is key to a successful life, John enjoys a variety of activities with his wife and family including biking, hiking, hunting and traveling to unique places around the world. A lifelong resident of the Twin Cities, John currently resides in Edina, MN.

Jack Trautz
As Vice President of Trautz Properties, Inc., Jack is responsible for acquisitions, development, and interaction with the greater real estate market. Jack first began his career in 2014, and has since held positions in Property Management, Real Estate Brokerage, and Land Development.
Jack is an expert in retail real estate in Minnesota and is passionate about finding value in today’s market. With the exception of a brief time in residential development, his career has been entirely focused of retail real estate.
Jack graduated with his B.A. from St. Olaf College, majoring in Economics and Finance. He is a member of the Minnesota Shopping Center Association, the International Council of Shopping Centers, and the Economic Development Association of Minnesota.
When not at the office, Jack enjoys running, skiing, and hunting. He and his wife reside in Minnetonka, MN.

Nikki Marfori
Nikki began working in the real estate industry in 2003 for Reliance Development Company, a developer of single tenant and multi-tenant retail properties. Her years of experience have included the administration of loan closings, execution of construction loan draws and assisting in the overall development process and asset management of the company’s properties. Her duties also included serving as a liaison between owners of the properties and property managers, vendors and tenants; coordination of signage and awnings for new developments and maintaining the company’s data archives.
Since the creation of Trautz Properties, Inc. in 2010, Nikki has transitioned into her role as asset manager for the company. While the focus has shifted from real estate development to investment, many of Nikki’s responsibilities remain the same with an additional emphasis on the asset management of the properties within the Trautz Properties, Inc. portfolio.
Nikki holds a Bachelor of Science degree in History from Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN. In addition to her duties at Trautz Properties, Nikki is a member of the Minnesota Shopping Center Association.
In her free time, Nikki enjoys running, reading, writing, traveling and spending time with her husband and daughter.
